Optimised Communication
Because it's the foundation of a successful project...
A particular attention is given to all communication aspects at the beginning of any new project to make it running as smooth as possible for both parties. Thanks to this, it's natural that our projects even run better and faster than local projects.
E-mails:
Everybody has his own professional e-mail. (Of course!) |
Chat:
Although we prefer e-mails and phone calls, the whole team can be reached through chat software like MSN, Yahoo! Chat, Gtalk, Skype, etc. |
Phone Calls:
-
Our Romanian team is reachable through a Romanian number, and also through a Belgian number allowing national calls to our Belgian customers.
-
Everybody can also be reached through Skype.
Conference Calls:
A specific Belgian number is available to quickly launch conference calls. No need for specific passwords, complex WebEx calls, etc. |
Phone headsets:
Hardware has been specifically chosen for their crystal clear communications. |
Desktop Sharing:
We can't work anymore without TeamViewer, used for easy and reliable screen sharing, meaning for all of us an incredible communication efficiency uplift. |
File Sharing/
Repository:
For most projects, DropBox is our preferred software for syncing files across computers. On demand, we can also use the tools of the client, like SharePoint. |
Specifications:
"Good input equals good output". We always agree upfront on the level of specifications required to make a project succeed. Grey zones kill a project! |
Bug Reporting:
By default, we normally use Mantis BugTracker, a simple but efficient bug reporting tool customised to take into account task prioritisation. For specific needs, any other solution can be used. |
Timesheets:
As transparency is important in any relationship, live timesheets are shared with our clients and partners through a secure web interface. |
Versioning:
By default, we use subversion but we can connect to the system of the client (CVS, Microsoft VSS, etc.). |
Documentation:
Code of every project is documented so that any application can quickly be transferred to any other developer. |
Planning:
For most projects, a planning is established during the kickoff meeting with a clear ownership of every milestone. |
Regular Meetings:
We attach great importance to quick phone meetings. Their frequency will depend on the selected development methodology and project size. In addition, regular meetings can also be organised with your local Project Manager. |
